Zodiac
Medicals (Private) Limited supplied the first ever Bone
Densitometry Full Body Scanner in Sri Lanka. This was supplied
to the College of Medicine at the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital,
Galle.
It
is being used for the detection of Osteoporosis and also
for extensive research on hip geometry and other related
studies on bone density and early detection of Osteoporosis.

introduced the A V Impulse System foot/Hand pump to Sri
Lanka. This machine is used to enhance the circulation in
patients whose blood circulation is restricted.
It is widely used to prevent DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).
This product, which won the Queen's Award for Technological
Achievement in 1995, was developed to mimic the natural
physiological processes that maintain the blood circulations
in the legs and arms. It is non-invasive and complication
free.

are also part of the product range and widely used in many
government and private hospitals in Sri Lanka.
